I also tried to give those dependencies from my local filesystem but on running job ÃÂ itÃÂ still shows a dialogue box showing those error for those jars .and I cannot switch to Talend 6.1.1 for now .

Problem with downloading third party modules: Network is unavailable - by dstreun1
I have a problem with downloading third party modules (jtds-1.3.1-patch.jar for MSSQLServer components): The error message says: "Network is unavailable. Please fix it" My question: What has to be done by the network administration? My Internet access is restricted. I have to ask to open it specifically. At the moment http and ftp internet accessÃÂ is allowed for the studio exe. What more do I need? If I have to download the module manually: Where can I get jtds-1.3.1-patch.jar? Where do I have to put it? There is no such folder like \java\lib! I am working with TOS 6.1.1.

Hi Sabrina / Ling / Talend Team, I have to migrate data from one SF to another SF (all standard / custom objects). ÃÂ While doing that, in source I have 30 columns in a table account but in target I have only 25 columns.ÃÂ How to create 5 extra columns in target using Talend? Is there any other way to handle this kind of issues? Note - ÃÂ In source we have 50K records and in Target 60K records (we need to merge / migrate)

Returns on every TOS start: Workspace changed - restart - by dstreun1
After installing TOS 6.1.1 I changed the workspace to another directory. Now, on every TOS start it says "workspace changed" and I have to press the restart button. Seems to be a bug - ?

If you are getting records inserting when they should be updating, it is almost certainly down to the "Field options" on the "Advanced Settings" tab of your database output component. Unfortunately, without seeing this it is difficult to give more advice.

I've changed it in INTEGER.[/font] [font=Verdana, sans-serif]When importing the BAPI_PO_CHANGE most of the fields are renamed with a number at the end i had to change them all manually.[/font] [font=Verdana, sans-serif]Is there somebody who has already used the BAPI_PO_CHANGE and who can send me an example or explain how to use it ?[/font]

I believe there is a known issue with the download jar pop-up window that keeps coming up in v6.0. This will be fixed in 6.0.2 but for now we recommend to move to 6.1.1. Elisa

Hi All, I started using Talend Open Studio a year and half ago. So far, things have worked well for me and my small startup. We expanded recently and hired a couple of more people in our team to help offload the burden to develop code using Talend for our clients. Now, I am concerned about the code quality. What are some of the best practices which one can use to implement QA/ QC? Any tools which support automated testing on Open Studio? Also, How can I maintain the code base? Currently, each developer is working on his system and saving code on a network share. I have heard about Talend Enterprise, but, we currently do not have the budget for Enterprise Licensing. Any help is appreciated.

Type mismatch: cannot convert string to date. - by cbabu79
Hi, I have a scenario in which data present in emp_dept.csv file should be split and inserted into two respective tables(EMP,DEPT) Actually there is a field DOB declared as string in input schema(.csv file) but in EMP table the same column declared as date. I tried with tMap TalendDate.formatting function also but getting the following error. Type mismatch: cannot convert string to date. Can somebody help me to overcome the situation. Thanks Babu Chokka

Hello all, I am using TOS 6.0 Big Data open studio and Tomcat 7 In my job, I am using tRunJob component with 1. dynamic job checked 2. context job input: The subjob name which I want to run 3. Job input: Multi Select the list of the jobs When I run the job from studio is running properly. The error occurs when I build the Jobs as AXIS WebService (WAR), deploy it to Tomcat and trying to run the Job using http://localhost:8080/JOBS/services/Main_Job?method=runJob&arg1=--context_param%20subJobName=subJobName withÃÂ error Exception in component tRunJob_1 java.lang.RuntimeException: Child job returns 1. It doesn't terminate normally. Error: Could not find or load main class myproject.main_job_0_1.SubJob However in the exploded war the jars exists under WEB-INF/lib/*.jar Any idea how to solve it?

Hi, When I add the component tS3Connection to my job I get the following compilation error four times: "com.amazonaws cannot be resolved to a type" In the code, the offending lines are these:ÃÂ "com.amazonaws.auth.AWSCredentials credentials_tS3Connection_1 = new com.amazonaws.auth.BasicAWSCredentials( context.Access_Key_ID,ÃÂ decryptedPassword_tS3Connection_1); com.amazonaws.services.s3.AmazonS3Client conn_tS3Connection_1 = new com.amazonaws.services.s3.AmazonS3Client( credentials_tS3Connection_1);" I tried adding a tLibraryLoad component, importing the library "aws-java-sdk-1.9.13.jar", and adding the following imports: "import com.amazonaws.auth; import com.amazonaws.services;" This produces another compilation error, "The import com.amazonaws cannot be resolved." I am running Talend 5.6. When I attempt to attach a screenshot (JPG), your website gives the following message:ÃÂ [font=Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif]Error : Invalid format of the picture.
